Lain Iwakura是一位看似平凡害羞的十四歲女學生-她自己也這麼認為。直到她被引入”Wired”，這個環繞所有人類通訊與網路的虛擬實境世界，一連串奇怪的事情也就此展開，她被改造成一個連自己都不認得也不理解的東西。

Lain Iwakura appears to be just an average shy 14 year old schoolgirl –and she thinks so too. That is, until she is introduced to Wired, a virtual reality-world encompasses all human communication and networks. Strange things begin to happen, and she gets transformed to something even she doesn’t recognize or understand anymore.
