The successful business consultant Charlotte has inherited her uncle Olivier's funeral home in Provence – but only half of it.
Arriving in the rural idyll, she wants to sell the enchanted Chateau as quickly as possible profitably. But then André, the young mastermind and drawing son of Olivier, makes a dash through the bill. He owns the other half of the company.
And he doesn't dream of giving up Olivier's life's work. Uncle Olivier has decreed - wisely foresightedly - in his will that the two heirs must agree on the whereabouts of the Chateau.
But it is not only André and his relaxed French way of life that thwart Charlotte's plans, but also the open handling of death. First of all, it wants to implement its plans as soon as possible and even resorts to unfair means.
But as she gets to know André and his collaborators better and the scent of lavender awakens her memory of her uncle's vacation, doubts arose in Charlotte as to whether her own lifestyle and the sale of the chistay is the right solution. She has to decide whether she loves or works, stays or goes - with a full wallet or empty hands.
Synopsis
In the past, Charlotte Conrad (Julie Engelbrecht ) always loved to spend her holidays in her uncle Olivier's little castle in Provence. Today she is a tough business consultant and reluctantly goes back to the south of France to sell this chateau after her uncle's death. Charlotte knows more about what to do with the money than spending her summers in blooming lavender fields. But André (Bruno Bruni Jr.), Olivier's foster son, has also inherited half of the building and wants to continue running Olivier's funeral home in the chateau. In his will he stipulated that both must agree on the future of the castle. Although Charlotte initially fights for the sale with unfair means, she is gradually taken over by the beautiful landscape and André.
