建築師Marie的人生什麼都不缺，她有親愛的丈夫，可愛的兒子，還有成功的事業。然而，她的完美人生瞬間崩毀了。她被診斷出患有多發性硬化症，世界從此變了樣。Marie向來以能控制任何情況而自豪，然而診斷出爐之後，她失去了對人生的掌控權。更糟糕的是，她與家人的關係開始改變。她的父親退縮不願面對，母親則正好相反，對女兒噓寒問暖，彷彿她已經是殘疾人。Marie的丈夫Axel溫柔而體貼，但Marie似乎也無法接受，再者，她要如何向六歲兒子解釋媽媽總是這麼累呢？Marie的姐姐Kerstin似乎是唯一能理解的人。曾經的完美生活即將毀於一旦，Marie能否找到心中的力量來重建她的世界？

Marie has it all. A loving husband, a beautiful son, and a highly successful career as an architect. However, in an instant her perfect world comes crashing down. She is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and nothing will ever be the same again. Marie has always prided herself on being the one in control of any situation, but the diagnosis threatens to take that away from her. What’s worse is the strong relationships she has with her family have begun to change. Her father becomes withdrawn, while her mother does the opposite – fussing around her daughter as if she was an invalid.
Marie’s husband Axel is tender and understanding, but somehow even that seems to be the wrong way to behave. And how can she explain to her six-year-old son why his mother is constantly tired? Her chaotic sister Kerstin seems to be the only one who understands. Marie’s once perfect life is in danger of careering off the rails. The question is, can she find the inner strength to rebuild her world again?
