「高壓食尚大賽」是有趣、講求快速的新式烹飪競賽,集美食節目與旅遊節目大全,就像是「急速前進」與「頂尖主廚大對決」的綜合體。在每集一小時的節目裡會前往美國不同的城市,三組新隊伍爭奪美食界的榮譽和現金大獎。每個團隊的其中一名成員會是專業的廚師,搭配沒有烹飪專業知識的夥伴(朋友、親戚或同事)。各團隊有五小時時間,在特別設於城鎮或市中心的地標的廚房裡準備三道高檔菜餚─開胃菜、主菜和甜點。各隊有的資源是500美元預算、一張地圖和不能上網的智慧型手機,他們必須從當地最好的供應商(不得為連鎖店)採購最好的產品,並為評審小組創作出世界一流的餐點。除了食物的口味、擺盤呈現和獨創性之外,還能因為找到當地最好的熱門美食獲得積分。參賽者可以隨心所欲創造他們想呈現的任何餐點,但是其中一道菜主題必須是向城市致敬或是對當地經典菜餚的新詮釋。
PRESSURE COOKER is a fun and fast new food competition format that offers great takeaway in the food and travel space. It's 'The Amazing Race' meets 'Top Chef.' In each hour-long episode we're in a different American city with 3 new teams, competing for food glory, and a cash prize. One member of each team is a professional chef, while their partner (friend, relative or coworker) has no culinary expertise.The teams have 5 hours to source and prepare 3 top-class dishes - an appetizer, entrée and dessert, at a specially constructed set kitchen at an iconic location in the town or city center. With a budget of 500 bucks, a map and a smart phone (with no internet), they must source the best produce from the best local suppliers (no chain stores), and create a world class meal for our panel of judges. Points will be awarded for finding the best local foodie hotspots in addition to taste, presentation and ingenuity. Contestants can create whatever they want but one dish must be homage to the city or their interpretation of a classic local dish.
