Synopsis
When 17-year-old Maja is married to the humble fisherman Janne, they begin their family life on the remote island of Stormskerry, a place where survival is an unyielding challenge. Amidst the hardships of their isolated existence, Maja's awakening to her own potential is kindled through the love of Janne and her children.
